    14:00 - 15:00 - Dinosaurs Love Underpants
    This story explains the real reason Dinosaurs became extinct. Starting in a time machine, children travel back to explore the world of the cavemen in their first pairs of pants - silly, musical and creative!

    15:30 - 16:30 - We're going on a  Bear Hunt
    The children are encouraged to act out this exciting sensory journey, using song, movement and storytelling. They will wade through the grass, splash through the river and squelch through mud in search of a bear.

  • Beauty and the Beast (PG)

    Based on Disney's beloved 1991 animation, Beauty and the Beast is a live re-imagination of this classic fairytale. Belle a bright, beautiful and independent young woman is taken prisoner by the Beast in his castle after she rescues her father and takes his place. Belle, learns of the curse which transformed all the servants into furniture and the Prince into the Beast, but to end the curse, the Beast must find true love before the final petal falls from the single enchanted rose.

    A wonderful film for everyone to enjoy.

    Discover what's available in Sleaford in our first Discovery Day of the year!

    There will be also lots of fun activities to have a go at including a mobile climbing wall provided by the NK Outreach Team! Craft activities will also be on offer throughout the day as well as opportunities to have a go at a Vitality dance class bringing movement and music to the over sixties. There’s so much to get involved in!

    There will also be a wide range of other information available about what's on offer in the area from local sports groups to community groups. So if you're looking for a new hobby or volunteering opportunities or anything else for that matter! Come along and get involved!

    All activities will take place outside the The National Centre for Craft & Design in Navigation Wharf and Navigation House.

    All our Discovery Days are FREE to attend, and there is no need to book. Enjoy a day out with the whole family! Please bring snacks or even a lunch, and stay all day. All aged 8 or under must be accompanied by an adult, all aged 9 or over can self-register for the activities. Consent forms will be available on the day.

    Please note, if you want a go on the climbing wall, please ensure you are wearing shorts or trousers. This is for safeguarding reasons.
