Cultural Lincoln - Theatre, arts & entertainment
Lincoln is packed with things to see and do; home to a bustling cultural scene and a variety of entertainment and music venues.
Rococo charm and good old-fashioned stage performance can be found at the Theatre Royal, offering a variety of shows from classic musicals, pantomime, comedy, tribute acts, puppeteers, wrestling and more. Find plenty more of the same at the Lincoln Drill Hall, a fantastic entertainment venue showcasing a wide range of comedians, dance troupes and acting groups throughout the year.

Live music, gigs and famous bands are a regular fixture at the city’s Engine Shed venue – a distinctive modern structure within the University of Lincoln, providing a sleek and intimate space for enjoying major acts such as The Fratellis, Groove Armada and Stereophonics. Next door, LPAC (Lincoln Performing Arts Centre) puts on a variety of international concerts and has a busy seasonal arts programme.
View a fine display of art and archaeology at The Collection, our award-winning state of the art museum showcasing some 2,000,000 local artefacts from pre-historic to Viking and Roman to Medieval. The adjoining Usher Gallery holds Lincolnshire’s finest collection of art and craft, paintings and sculptures - including pieces by Turner and Lowry.
Learn more about the social history of the area at the Museum of Lincolnshire Life with exhibits on industrial, domestic and agricultural life.
