The Eco-Lodge, newly opened in 2003, is truly a 'get away from it all' place. Located near Old Leake (just north of Boston) in 8 acres of tranquil meadows and woodland, the Eco-Lodge is certainly a hidden treasure if you’re after a back to basics, stress free break.
The lodge provides a comfortable lounge, kitchen, two bedrooms, shower room and veranda. Energy is generated by the wind, while there is a large wood burning range in the kitchen. Drinking water is provided through the mains, while filtered rain water is supplied for the shower and toilet. A barbeque is provided for summer cooking and home-kilned charcoal is available. To top it all off, the lodge itself is built entirely from wood grown and harvested in Lincolnshire!
To further the eco-friendly experience, organic produce, including milk, bread and vegetables can be ordered in advance from local sources. The local butcher also provides fresh and cooked meat produce.
So why not get back to basics and enjoy the slow lane for a while!
