Built between 1309 and 1520, St Botolph’s is the largest parish church in the country. ‘The Stump’, as it is known locally, presides magisterially over the port town of Boston and the flat lands and waterways of the Lincolnshire fens beyond. Climb the 272 ft tower for unrivalled views of the town that famously gave its name to Boston, Massachusetts, and absorb the light and architectural wonder to be found at the heart of this truly magnificent church. ‘The Stump’ is a Lincolnshire giant that should not be missed.
Please see St Botolph’s website for more information.
