A family attraction with one of the largest Tropical Houses in the country filled with myriads of freely flying colourful butterflies surrounding flowering exotic plants and trees.

Meet amphibians, snakes, a Caiman, Iguanas, pools of fish and in our separate display, leaf cutting ants. The Insect Gallery contains a range of creepy crawlies, and a chance to handle the creatures if you dare.

Walk across to the Birds of prey enclosure and meet Liberty the American Bald Eagle and many more falcons, Owls and Hawks. Experience the speed and dexterity with which some of the birds can fly, exhibited by our expert falconers in the twice daily displays.

We also have a program of animal handling sessions and animal activities (mainly based inside) which include, ferret roulette, meeting the barn owls and close encounters with the various reptiles.

We have a large adventure playground with a long zipwire, climbing frames and wooden fort. There is also a toddler area for our smaller visitors and coin operated ride on cars and diggers. We frequently have other activities for children to enjoy which include Animal craft sessions, and bush trails.

Throughout the year we are holding a series of special events. In 2011 these include Hug a Husky, Jungle Book fun, Conservation Day and Shakespeare in the Park amongst others. Please check our website for full details.

There is an award winning tea room and large gift shop and an outside snack cabin located in the playground.
