We attract 1000's of visitors annually. St Peter's, known as 'the Cathedral of the Fens', is a large Perpendicular church, with huge windows, including a beautiful east stained glass window, numerous fine examples of carvings in wood and stone, many unique features such as 'the hudd', 'the bolt hole', the painted lower wood-screen, the magnificent Jacobean front cover, the high 'high' alter and fine medieval pews. The effect is both of transcedance and warmth, tranquility and airiness. The famous annual flower festival, always the 1st week in June is still one of the finest in the country.
