A welcoming smile will always greet you at The Wheatsheaf Inn. This village pub is run by an enthusiastic young couple, Dan and Katie Bland, who pride themselves on providing a warm atmosphere in which guests can enjoy can relaxing drink and glorious pub food.
Dan sources local produce wherever possible and creates wholly new specials menu every day, even complementing the freshly-cooked meals with his own-grown vegetables and herbs.
This country inn is divided into two main rooms, the bar and extended dining room.
The bar is further divided into two, one half has a variety of seating tables in front of a cosy, wood burning stove. The other half is situated in front of the serving bar, which offers hand-pumped beer and ales. The wine list has been carefully hand chosen to complement Dan's innovative and tasty food.
The dining room is decorated in a relaxing red and cream to complement the chunky, dark wood furniture. White tableware and freshly ironed linen napkins gleam as you take your seat.
For an al-fresco dining experience, the tables on the front terrace of this attractive colour-washed pub overlook the village green and church with its quirky leaning tower.
