Visiting Lincolnshire for a golfing break will probably leave you overwhelmed at the number of 18-hole gems we’ve got to offer … so much so that we’re pretty sure you’ll be planning your next visit while you are still here.

Looking for some of the finest fairways in the world?  If the answer is yes then you have to head straight for the National Golf Centre at Woodhall Spa.  The Hotchkin golf course has been voted the country's ‘best inland links course’ and has also been ranked as the 43rd best course in the world.  This is where your golfing pilgrimage will start.

If it’s a pilgrimage that you’re on then another stop has to be Elsham Golf Club in the north of the county.  As the early home of one of the greatest English golfers of all time – Tony Jacklin – this is a hidden gem set in idyllic countryside.

Finally if your ‘pilgrimage’ has made you think about changing your irons then a visit to Gainsborough Golf Club – the European home of Ping is a must.  Hone your swing and get the latest custom fitted clubs before heading out onto one of two 18-hole courses to try them out!

Further east you will find the Boston West Golf Centre & Hotel. Set against the stunning back drop of the Lincolnshire Fens these easy going fairways will leave you with plenty of energy for exploring this watery manscape.

Heading out to the coast you will find a more physically challenging test at North Shore – with the front 9 holes designed in a parkland setting you will have to change your game completely when you kick off on the links style back 9.

Finally, if you want to explore the delightful towns and villages of the Lincolnshire Wolds - a designated area of outstanding natural beauty - you can  enjoy a completely relaxing golf break at Woodthorpe Hall Caravan & Leisure Park. Here you can combine a day on the fairways with visits to their nearby fishing lakes, garden and aquatics centres.
