Greetham Valley Golf Club

Greetham Valley boasts a superb golf complex.

Set in 276 acres of picturesque countryside, just a few minutes drive from Rutland Water, Greetham Valley has been carefully developed from traditional, undulating farmland to create three diverse and interesting courses, each with their own unique challenges for every level of player.

Lakes, ponds, a winding stream, mature woods and a naturally contoured landscape of scenic valleys and rolling hills make Greetham Valley a beautiful environment, home to an abundance of wildlife and the perfect setting for your sporting enjoyment.

The Lakes Course

At 6736 yards, it is the longest of the championship courses.  The long, wide fairways can favour the big hitter - but watch out for the water and bunkers.

The Par 3's on the Lakes course are very challenging, with lovely but deceptively tricky water features on each one.  The course has the benefit of the Halfway House for refreshments part way though your round.

The Valley Course

The picturesque par 68, 5595 yards course has some spectacular holes across the valley.  Perhaps the prettiest - and the most testing - is the 17th hole, a par 4 nestling on the floor of the valley, bordered on the left by a wooded hillside and on the right by the brook.  Although it is the shorter course, it is still very challenging and all parts of your game must be up to scratch.  It has the longest par 5 hole on the entire complex and with water, sand and glorious views, this course offers a truly great eighteen holes of golf.

The Academy Course

This course has 9 well designed par 3 holes and is ideal for novices and experienced players trying to fine tune their short game.  If you wish, you may join Greetham Valley as a PowerPlay member, then upgrade your membership to the main courses at your own convenience - and as your skills improve.  Visitors can enjoy the PowerPlay course on a pay and play basis - adult green fees are £5 per round weekdays, £6 weekends - children 16 and under are half price.

The Driving Range

This floodlit driving range offers 14 covered bays, 4 outdoor bays, a bunker practice area and a video teaching academy.  Open 7 days a week to members and non members alike, the Range is in regular use for golf tuition and is particularly popular just before important competitions!  One to one, duo and group tuition is available to all skill levels.

The Putting Green

This contoured green enjoys some of the most attractive views on the entire complex, overlooking the valley and both 18th greens.  It is ideal for practice, lessons and tweaking one's aim after three-putting to lose a match!  Society and corporate day golfers often request a putting competition to enhance their visit.

The Clubhouse is open from 7am to 11pm, and with views over both the Championship golf courses, it's the perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink and snack.  The Valley Restaurant can host up to 50 diners and an innovative team of chefs has created a varied, seasonal menu, offering a wide range of dishes with the freshest of local produce.

The Golf Shop at Greetham Valley stocks a range of golfing goods at very competitive prices.

Head PGA Professional, Neil Evans, is in much demand for tuition amongst members and visitors so has developed his own Teaching Academy at Greetham Valley.  Neil also offers a complete workshop facility for golf club repairs and renovations on site.
