Reaching Lincolnshire

By Road


Lincolnshire is accessible via the A1, M1 and M180. Just two hours from London, it makes for the ideal weekend break or short stay.

By Rail


The East Coast Mainline runs via Lincolnshire with stations at Grantham and Newark (Nottinghamshire - but only a few miles from the Lincolnshire border). You can catch local connections into Lincoln and beyond.

By Air


If you need to fly into the area, Lincolnshire is conveniently serviced by 3 major airports: East Midlands, Robin Hood and Humberside Airport.

By Sea


Lincolnshire can be accessed from Europe via P&O Ferries between the Hull and Rotterdam/Zeebruge route. Hull is approximately one hour drive time away from Lincoln accessed via the M180 and A15.

InterConnect


Part of Lincolnshire's extensive bus service network is the award winning InterConnect service, which operate a range of hourly services along various routes across the county.

InterConnect provides an accessible, modern service with practical passenger facilities and information for all its users. All routes have enhanced interchange points, improved waiting facilities and quality timetables information at bus stops.

CallConnect


A key feature of InterConnect is the CallConnect service. CallConnect is a demand responsive public bus service that provides a vital link for passengers between the more rural parts of Lincolnshire and local market towns or other local bus and rail services.

The CallConnect service operates on a 'dial a bus' basis and is operated by fully accessible minibuses, operating from 7am-7pm Monday to Saturday.

The service is available for anyone to use, whether resident in Lincolnshire or here on holiday. It can be used as frequently as required, whether to travel to work, visit places of interest, or simply to go shopping.
