MAY 2010 BATEMANS NAMES REGIONAL BREWER OF THE YEAR...
Batemans, the local, independent family-run Brewer, has won the coveted title of ‘Best Regional Brewer’ in a national award ceremony. The annual event recognises the best companies and individuals within the UK’s licensed sector and is the largest Awards event for the pub and brewing sectors. Organised by industry magazine, The Publican, it was hosted by comedian Michael McIntyre, and winning the top award certainly put a smile on the team at Batemans faces.

A great day out for all the family can be had at Batemans Brewery 'Where Lincolnshire beer brewing with family tradition can still be found'.
Batemans Brewery is one of the country's oldest family breweries brewing some of the finest beers in the UK.
It is based in an old windmill, dating back two centuries and is definitely the most picturesque of breweries!
The Brewery's Visitors Centre is a great day out for all the family. Take a guided tour of the old and new Brew House combined with a fun educational talk, a virtual reality Brewing Experience - an entertaining and humorous look at beer.
Browse through old documents some dating back to 1899 in the archive, which give an insight into a bygone age of agriculture, brewing business, transport and pubs. There is also information on the Bateman's fight to remain independent.
In the games area the whole family can complete against each other on the old traditional pub games, bagatelle, bull ring, outside giant snakes and ladders, to name but a few.
In the circular Windmill Bar where 'Batemans Good Honest Ales' can be enjoyed, wine, soft drinks, tea& coffee along with genuine Continental lagers and Belgium beers are also available. The Visitors Centre is also a member of Tastes of Lincolnshire offering a menu including local produce. Food is served from 12-2pm.
Before leaving souvenirs can be purchased, as a reminder of the visit from the Brewery Shop.
Evening bookings and tours are also available. We will need a minimum of 12 visitors for an evening tour (so we may combine groups of less than 12) and prior booking is essential.
