Great family ideas for those rainy days
If the weather’s not great, it doesn’t mean an end to your fun. We may have wide open spaces for the whole family to enjoy – but there is plenty indoors too.
Come rain or shine - Lincolnshire has everything to keep the family entertained. There are many indoor play centres and pottery cafes, but we have our fair share of museums and stately homes too.

We have to mention the Kinema in the Woods at Woodhall Spa – a truly unique Edwardian cinema nestled in the trees in this old spa town. With its traditional seating and famous organ, it was called The Flicks in the Sticks in the Second World War – but today shows all up to date films.
Or why not try the Museum of Lincolnshire Life in the “uphill” area of the city which has won national awards for its interactive galleries of the Royal Lincolnshire Regiment. You can also pop along to the Lincoln Castle while you are there – there is plenty to see indoors at this motte and bailey castle, including the spooky dungeons and former Victorian prison housed within the grounds.
