Spending time together as a family is so important and if you can keep kids occupied, you can spend time as a couple too!

Come rain or shine - Lincolnshire has everything you need to keep the little ones busy. The county is built for family days out. There’s something here for everybody – whatever age, whatever you want to do.

Maybe a scary Ghost Walk round historic Lincoln appeals, or a good old fashioned day out building sandcastles on one of the blue flag beaches. For running off excess energy try the brightly-coloured ball pools and climbing walls at Fun Farm at Lincoln or the massive indoor soft play centre, Play Towers at Cleethorpes.

The Wragby Maze offers a giant conifer maze, putting, croquet, garden draughts and boules. For something more creative there’s The Pottery Painting Café, where artists can wield a brush on a varied selection of ‘bisque’ – unpainted ceramics – create your very own masterpiece.

Buy your tickets online for the Butterfly and Wildlife Park in Spalding, a great day out for all the family with one of the largest tropical houses in the counrty, filled with freeflying colourful butterflies surrounding flowering exotic plants and trees. 

There are animals to see at farm parks, seal sanctuaries at Skegness and Mablethorpe and some fantastic amusement parks at the seaside.  Experience white knuckle rides and non-stop thrills for all the family. For a completely different experience on the coast head to Batemans Brewery Visitors Centre, a family fun day out whatever the weather. 

If you’re feeling more sedate, why not stroll around a beautiful country house and gardens or sample some of Lincolnshire's excellent locally produced food and drink.
