Fishing

Going fishing? Then Lincolnshire is a great catch!

Whether river fishing, casting by a canal or a spot of sea fishing, there's plenty of choice for all anglers - from novice to the more experienced.

Coarse fishing is very popular, while for fly fishing take to the chalk streams of the Wolds for Trout and Grayling. Lincolnshire rivers hold a variety of fish including Bream, Roach, Perch, Tench, Chub, Carp, Pike and Zander.

For some of the finest fishing waters in England, try the tranquil waters of the Trent or the Ancholme Valley - considered by many anglers to be one of the best fishing waters in the country - or the low-lying waterways of the Fens.
