Giving a glimpse of years gone by, Normanby Hall Victorian Walled Garden, was first built in 1817 and was restored, then opened to the public in 1997. It is the only period-correct Victorian walled garden in Britain and everything grown in the garden dates from 1901 or earlier; even the gardeners use nineteenth century techniques wherever possible.
By way of contrast Easton Walled Gardens welcomes 12 acres of 'lost' grounds. 400 years of gardening have created a peaceful and settled atmosphere, enhanced by the beautiful valley surrounding it.
Explore six acres of romantic gardens, containing superb bow edge parterres, sumptuous borders and a wild garden with a nature trail into the countryside at Doddington Hall. The mellow Elizabethan walls provide the framework for the formal East and West Gardens which are faithful to the original Elizabethan layout.

The stunning gardens that surround Grimsthorpe Castle were built for a visit by Henry VIII. Discover a formal lawn with topiary squares beyond containing small ornamental pools. Further from the castle the garden becomes a semi-wild woodland garden, filled with spring bulbs.
From derelict to dazzling Goltho Gardens were purchased in 1997 offering visitors the chance to discover the renovated 4½ -acre garden. The garden now boasts a long grass walk flanked by abundantly planted mixed borders, from which a network of paths and walkways meander out to other features; the nut walk is wonderful in the spring..
