A Modern Chronicle is a photographic exploration of Lincolnshire’s heritage, life and seasonal moments. Andrew Scott is an Award-Winning, self-taught photographer based in Lincoln. Over the years, Andrew has captured the City and County’s architecture, streets, events and quiet moments. Always drawn to natural light and candid moments producing images that feel timeless.
From the soaring presence of Lincoln Cathedral to the cobbled streets of the Bailgate, the City’s character, textures, history and quiet charm inspire Andrew’s work. This exhibition combines architectural beauty, human life, atmospheric night scenes and the magic of winter – including moments of surprise and wonder in the City’s quiet corners.
Through these photographic images, Andrew shares Lincolnshire as he experiences it: a living, layered County full of character, stories and magic.
Providing a contemporary approach to documenting the City, A Modern Chronicle invites visitors to become part of The Chronicles of Lincoln Castle – an evolving narrative brought to life through this year’s exhibition, performances, and family experiences.
The exhibition is included as part of the Castle day ticket and free for Annual Pass holders to enjoy.
