Belton House is one of the counties most popular destinations for families in search of outdoor fun, with seasonal trails and the National Trust’s largest outdoor adventure playground. During the summer, you can enjoy long, lazy days with picnics and games in the great outdoors, explore the house and its collections on rainy days, and at Christmas, Belton transforms into a magical wonderland.
Open from 27th November, join Belton House in celebrating well-loved traditions and create some new ones of your own too. You can even pick up a treat for yourself or Christmas gift on your visit to help make those festive memories.

Enter a world festooned with seasonal cheer enhanced by a soundtrack of festive classics and wander beneath unique tree canopies drenched in Christmas colour.
The National Trust’s Belton House will be light up this Christmas providing a true festive experience for you and your family to enjoy. Open on selected dates between 27th November 2020 and 3rd January 2021, book your experience in advance through the National Trust website.
Discover giant luminescent candles rising high into the night sky on your way towards a meadow of light shimmering as it gently sways. There are giant baubles, glowing flowers, snowflakes where you least expect them and clusters of trees wrapped in ever-changing ribbons of colour.
The tunnel of light returns with twinkling splendour and this year why not pause for a moment of quiet reflection at the water-side fire garden, aglow with hundreds of flickering flames.
Have yourself a merry little Christmas and complete your walk under the stars will mulled wine or hot chocolate, and don’t forget to watch out for Father Christmas along the way.

Plan your festive evening with family and friends and surround yourself with sparkle this Christmas as the after-dark trail lights up for 2020. It is recommended that you book early to avoid disappointment. Each timed entry has a limited capacity and the early evening and weekend slots are likely to sell out.
Opening dates of Christmas at Belton:
- Friday 27th November – Sunday 29th November
- Friday 4th December – Sunday 6th December
- Friday 11th December – Thursday 24th December
- Saturday 26th December – Sunday 3rd January
Trail times are available from 4pm – 8pm, and are booked in 15-minute slots.
All ticket prices apply to National Trust members and non-members.
