The Official Voice of Lincolnshire Tourism

Visit Lincolnshire is the county's official tourism platform, funded and managed by Lincolnshire County Council. We coordinate the Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP), uniting private businesses with local and national tourism bodies.

Over a million visitors use this site each year. Our job is to show them what makes Lincolnshire worth the trip.

Who Creates Our Content

Our editorial team lives and works in Lincolnshire. Every route, listing, and recommendation comes from direct, verified experience.

Mary
Tourism Manager Mary project managed the £22m restoration of Lincoln Castle. This multi award-winning project took ten years to restore and now gives a complete circuit medieval wall walk, a restored Victorian prison and a secure vault and cinema experience for Magna Carta – our most valuable document dating from 1215. Lincoln Castle is now able to host a whole series of exciting events from concerts to winter illuminations, not to mention great pride in bringing this building dating to 1068 back to life.

Jade
Visitor Economy Officer, Jade, has a history of both property and project management and worked on one of Lincolnshire’s most iconic coastal attractions, the North Sea Observatory which was full of constant surprises, such as unexploded WWII smoke bombs, old glass drinks bottles and sea defences. She liaises with businesses for Visit Lincolnshire website listings and events and oversees the Lincolnshire Film Office work, which includes working closely with Creative England, other film offices, dealing with filming enquiries and local businesses in terms of locations. This also includes ensuring that the Set Jetting pages are up to date, showcasing what has been filmed in the region to local, national and international visitors.

Hayley
Visitor Economy Growth Manager Hayley brings over 25 years of experience from the private sector, working with consumer brands and tourism projects across a range of destinations before joining the Visit Lincolnshire team.

A big part of Hayley’s role is working closely with local businesses and helping them grow, as well as leading the annual Visit Lincolnshire conference at the start of each year. You’ll often find her out and about across the county, chatting with business owners and suppliers, or welcoming journalists we’ve invited to experience and write about Lincolnshire as a fantastic place to visit. She’s also our main point of contact for VisitEngland, the national tourist board.

Hayley works closely with our PR and social media teams and is always on the lookout for a great Lincolnshire story to share.

Debby
Debby is part of the Rights of Way Team at Lincolnshire County Council and is passionate about getting as many people as possible outside and enjoying the lovely Lincolnshire countryside.  She has recently completed a project to improve the promotion and waymarking of the Viking Way, the county’s long-distance walking route.
