Did you Know?

Sausages are affectionately referred to as bangers. At one time they contained a high percentage of water and the skins would burst open and ‘bang’ if the sausages weren’t pricked before cooking.

There are many versions of the traditional fruity loaf known as Lincolnshire Plumbread. Recipes passed down through generations of families and bakers leading to a variety of plumbread on sale today. A good plumbread is always moist, traditionally served sliced and buttered and some like to serve it with a slice of Lincolnshire Poacher Cheese.
