Uncle Henry's Maize Maze 2020 pays tribute to the NHS with a new design and a secret message hidden within the maze itself.

Opening seven days a week from this Saturday 18th July, this year Uncle Henry’s giant 5-acre Maize Maze features a special design to pay thanks to the NHS.

Uncle Henry’s is an award-winning farm shop, butchery and cafe located next to the village of Grayingham, ten miles outside of Gainsborough. Uncle Henry’s opened in September 2006 and is part of a family farming business managed by Graham Ward and Emma Blandford, the son and daughter of the owners Steve and Meryl Ward. Graham & Emma are the fifth generation to live and work at the mixed arable and livestock farm where high welfare pig production and environmental stewardship are important parts of the farming business.

“In our farm shop and cafe, we offer our customers a real farm to fork experience combined with great customer service. We have a wide range of products available in the shop including pork and potatoes from our own farm and we are also proud to support over 40 Lincolnshire producers – our local food heroes!”

Speaking about this year’s design, General Manager, Graham Ward said “2020 so far has been an extremely challenging year for everyone and we wanted to take the opportunity to do something positive with our Maize Maze design and say a big thank you to everyone working within the NHS. We are pleased that COVID-19 lockdown rules have been eased in time to allow us to open the Maze for the summer season and we look forward to welcoming customers to Uncle Henry’s to enjoy a COVID secure outdoor activity”.

Visitors are challenged to find ten letters throughout the Maze to unscramble a hidden message.

Tickets are £8 per person, including new farmyard crazy golf, jumping pillows and more. They must be booked online in advance here.

Uncle Henry’s have achieved Visit England’s “We’re Good to Go” accreditation which recognises that their farm shop, cafe and maze attractions are all following government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, ensuring processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social/physical distancing.

The cafe is now also resuming normal opening hours (Mon-Sat 9:30-5pm and Sunday 10-4pm) and bookings must be made for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea. Takeaways are available with no need to book.
