What fantastic news for Cleethorpes – the already huge Armed Forces Day on June 28th has now been awarded national event recognition!
This annual event honours the UK Armed Forces community, recognising the dedication of serving personnel, reservists, veterans, cadets, and their families. The Cleethorpes event which attracts almost a quarter of a million visitors each year will now become a focal point for the whole country’s celebrations and will also receive extra budget to make this happen.
Lincolnshire of course has strong military links and a rich tradition of proudly honouring the Armed Forces. The Red Arrows are expected to perform, as well as modern and historic aircraft. There will be military villages, bands, and the weekend begins with the highly anticipated Armed Forces Carnival, which will feature over 70 floats, performers, and participants weaving through the streets of Cleethorpes. Sure to be an amazing sight and what a great start to this action packed day!
