Entertainment & Activities
This year’s festival is packed with live performances, interactive fun, and colourful characters. Here’s a taste of what’s on offer!
Bicycle Bistro - No need to look for a cafe... The Bicycle Bistro comes right to you! Two eccentric moustachioed waiters arrive in style on their bistro on wheels. They lay the table, wind up the gramophone and unleash a choreographed 40 minutes of cafe circus mayhem. Vaudeville hat juggling, spinning plates, tea dancing, acrobatics, musical saw playing and a marvellous table cloth trick to delight an increasingly moustachioed audience. You may even get a cup of tea...
Sushi Stake - Welcome to the high-stakes world of squawks and claws, where territorial battles aren’t just for the birds—they are the birds! In this sharp-witted comedy, Jenny Lumb takes us on a whirlwind adventure with a cast of feisty seagulls squabbling over who gets dibs on the best chips, the crispiest calamari,
and the prime bench outside the local chippy. But when an outsider seagull arrives, bringing fresh ideas—and a taste for the fancy leftovers from the town’s new sushi restaurant, it sends shockwaves through the flock. Are they ready to embrace new
flavours, or will this newcomer ruffle too many feathers? This 20 minute piece of theatre is packed with laughs, a pinch of salt, and maybe even a side of tartar sauce, this is a hilarious and heartwarming tale of heritage, seafood, and what it really means to be part of a community.
Never a Gull Moment - What an unbelieva-gull problem! You'd better hold on to your snacks. The Prawn To Be Wild Fish Co. is in a real flap. Cliff and Nestor are being followed by a mischievous flock of savvy seagulls and are having to sell their fishy produce on the fly. Can the greedy gulls be got rid of for good, or can humans learn how to better coexist with their seemingly feathery foes? Explore a world where fins flounder, feathers fly, and the sea collides with the streets in "Never A GULL Moment.”
Live Music - Wheelhouse - lending the soulful warmth of Michael Kiwanuka, the energy of Jungle, the anthemic edge of Noel Gallagher, and the raw spirit of early Verve, Wheelhouse is a multi-instrumentalist and producer stepping into his own spotlight. Rooted in seaside soul and shaped by years of band experience, he now embarks on a new solo chapter—bringing rich influences, fresh creativity, and heartfelt passion to the stage.
Organised with support from local businesses and community groups, the festival is a celebration of Louth’s vibrant food scene and creative energy. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or just looking for a fun day out, there’s something for everyone.
