And yes it is spelt Kinema, and nobody is quite sure why. One of the UK's quirkiest cinemas, this 1920s gem is tucked away in the pines. Expect red velvet seats, back projection, and even a live organist.
Quick Tip: Sit in Screen One for the full nostalgic experience! Screen one uses rear projection due to its low roof trusses, making it the only full-time cinema in the UK still using this method. It also houses a Compton Kinestra organ.

Explore the Cottage Museum
Housed in a charming bungalow, the Cottage Museum tells the story of Woodhall Spa's past, from spa town to wartime hub.

Discover the Dambusters Memorial
Located in Royal Square in the centre of Woodhall Spa on the former site of the Royal Hydro Hotel and Winter Gardens is the Dambusters Memorial. The memorial honours 204 aircrew from RAF 617 Squadron, known as the “Dambusters,” who were lost during World War II.
Visit the Petwood Hotel
Formerly the officers' mess for the Dambusters, the Petwood Hotel is grand and steeped in history. Don’t miss the Squadron Bar, and be sure to stroll through the stunning landscaped gardens - perfect for a peaceful moment or a scenic photo.

Stroll through the Pinewoods
Lose yourself in towering trees and peaceful trails just minutes from the centre. Predominantly composed of broadleaf trees including oak, Scots pine, beech and birch, with spring and autumn colours being particularly beautiful. A favourite for locals and visitors alike.

Swim at Jubilee Park
Jubilee Park is home to an open-air heated pool, perfect for a summer dip. There’s also tennis, bowls, a playground and beautiful gardens.

The Spa Trail is a flat, surfaced route along a former railway line, ideal for families and accessible for all.

Jubilee Park spans around 10 acres of beautifully maintained ornamental gardens so even if you’re not swimming there's lots to explore, picnic spots and seasonal events.

The stained glass window was installed in 2019 in St Peter’s Church, this beautiful window honours the brave airmen stationed here.

A major highlight - a 33 m lido heated to around 29 °C, with a toddler pool featuring a playful water tap/tap waterfall.

Visit nearby Tattershall Farm Park
Tattershall Farm Park offers a variety of animals, including goats, meerkats, and reindeer, as well as play areas, a cafe, and a gift shop.

The Woodland Cafe is one of our favourite spots in Woodhall Spa for an ice cream. They serve in‑house homemade ice cream, with over 50 flavours on offer! Treat yourself - every good day out deserves a sweet treat!
Quick Tip: If you’re driving, note that parking just outside the café is Pay & Display. Have a few coins handy or use the mobile app (RingGo) to avoid a ticket while you enjoy your cone.

Bike part of the Water Rail Way

Explore Ostler’s Plantation
A short drive away is Olster’s Plantation, now a quiet woodland. Enjoy leisurely walks and cycling amongst the trees and heather. It has a much more dramatic past, which includes being home to the famous ‘Dambusters’ squadron. This woodland is great for walking and spotting wildlife.

This Viking Way route is a manageable loop that starts and ends at the Cottage Museum - ideal for families, casual walkers, and those wanting a shorter walk.

Take a trip to Woodhall Spa Airfield Nature Reserve
Woodhall Spa Airfield was formerly the home of four brave RAF squadrons, Woodhall Spa Airfield is now a haven for wildlife as well as a place where visitors can share in the unique and peaceful atmosphere of this former airfield.
Quick Tip: Pedestrian access is via a locked gate and requires an access code. If visiting on a weekend, you will need to call 01507 526667 or message their Facebook page for the access code on a weekday before travelling. The code is regularly updated, so even if you've visited before it's best to ring ahead.
