Skegness Beach

Skegness is one of the UK's premier seaside resorts, attracting millions of people every year to its golden seashore and a fantastic selection of things to do and places to stay.

Whatever type of holiday you are looking for, Skegness has it all: B&Bs to four star hotels, holiday parks and luxury apartments to touring caravan sites – great value seaside holidays just for you.

The Blue Flag Central Beach at Skegness is a playground for children and adults alike; relax and take in the sea, sun and fun. We care very much for our environment, so take a stroll around the greener side of Skeggy - an amazing array of floral gardens full of colour, with wildlife and peaceful corners in which to sit and enjoy the tranquillity.

Tower Gardens hosts a whole calendar of free events throughout the summer season including bands, sports and activities - so make it a date!

The attractions along the seafront at Skegness offer heaps of fun for visitors of all ages and interests. Fall in love with the penguins and seals at the very popular Skegness Natureland, challenge your friends at the Jolly Roger adventure golf, Laserquest, indoor bowling or at the latest in video arcade gaming. Pools come in every shape and size including the fabulous indoor and outdoor swimming pools as well as adventure ball pools for the little ones.

Skegness is perhaps best known as the location of the first Butlins holiday resort, built in 1936, which remains within the area to this day, and in this capacity, remains one of the most famous seaside resorts in the United Kingdom.  Surprisingly, before the development of the railway system in the late 1800s, Skegness was little more than an insignificant coastal village.
