Head to the theatre cookery tent during Grimsby's Festival of the Sea event this July for interactive theatre, puppetry shows and cookery workshops.

Fish Finger Theatre & Masala Masters

A high-energy, interactive children’s theatre piece combined with a cooking and tasting experience and accompanied by live music. The show begins in a makeshift kitchen; performed in front of a table where Ruchita (the head chef) will prepare food throughout. A group of chefs have been working hard to perfect a recipe, made especially for Festival of the Sea – but they can’t seem to get it quite right! Something is missing…and the chefs just don’t agree on what that is. The audience is invited to help save the dish, just in time for serving.

Cap'N Fishcake and his Fabulous Fish Fingers

Cap’n Fishcake and His Fabulous Fish Fingers is a brand-new, live, outdoor puppet show for children. It is centred around a Grimsby fisherman called Cap’n Fishcake, his salty seadog, three fish fingers (named Bake, Fry and Grill) known as “The Omega 3”, and a cast of other underwater characters.

Cook by Name, Cook by Nature

Enjoy cookery workshops with Becky - a local chef mentor who teaches adults and children how to cook in North East Lincolnshire and beyond. Becky has been working as a chef for over ten years and is now opening a café which will serve food to the public and help the community.
