A circular morning walk taking in some fantastic views, whilst enjoying a wildlife rich, open area of wood pastures, ornate gardens and ancient trees; with a historic deer herd. Join our volunteer ranger on this guided walk across the estate to discover many hidden stories from the past, and learn about some of the wildlife that calls Belton home.
Stroll along the River Witham, amble through the Wilderness Gardens, cut across the open parkland and see the remains of the Game Keeper's house and dog kennels, before venturing into the ornate Pleasure Gardens. Explore the less familiar areas of the park, discover a diverse range of habitats and get closer to nature.
The walk starts at the Visitor Reception and ends at the courtyard adjacent to Belton House. There is no need to book for this walk, simply turn up and enjoy a wander with our volunteer ranger.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.
Distance: 3.5 miles, this walk will take between 2-3 hours
