Get outdoors this winter and join a walkabout with one of Belton Estate's walk leaders in the beautiful woodlands at Londonthorpe and Bellmount Plantation.
The walk will take in some of the magnificent views of Londonthorpe, Grantham, Belton Estate, the Mansion House, and Rose Cottage over by Syston Hall. There is no set route, and we will ask you if there is anywhere in particular you would like to go. We could stroll through Londonthorpe Woods, Alma Woods, Londonthorpe Village and Bellmount Plantation, including a visit to Bellmount Tower.
There’s no need to book, just head along to Londonthorpe Woods Car Park for 10am on the advertised date, where you will find our walk leader waiting to take you on a Woodland Walkabout.
When you finish the walk, you may wish to visit the free-to-enter Grantham House for a well-earned refreshment. The walk will take about 2 hours and will be between 5 to 8 km in length.

This 8k walk can be challenging, there are two stiles, it includes a moderate ascent to the Tower, and the route will be over unsurfaced and uneven ground. Finally, there may be livestock in the fields.
Age 12+. An adult must accompany anyone under the age of 18.
