The Culture House presents GAIA, the stunning Earth installation by Luke Jerram at Grimsby Minster from 10 November - 11 December with a wrap around programme of music, theatre, talks and events.
Measuring seven metres in diameter, Gaia features detailed NASA imagery of the Earth’s surface. The artwork provides the opportunity to see our planet on this scale, floating in three-dimensions.
Gaia also acts as a mirror to major events and is presented by The Culture House as part of Our Future Starts Here, a new creative programme for Grimsby commissioned as part of the Grimsby Creates programme, sponsored by Ørsted and also supported by My Energi.
Our Future Starts Here explores issues of our time, spanning people, place and planet and is helping to highlight Grimsby’s place in the world as a a world-leading green energy hub.
