A former public bath house, the original Baths Hall building dates from 1931. Serving as an entertainment venue since the 1970s, it underwent a major renovation, re-opening in 2005.
Closing again to undergo further development, the building in its current form was relaunched on the 11 November 2011, with comedian Bill Bailey and guests performing on the opening evening. Since 2011, the likes of Florence + The Machine, Paul Weller, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The Courteeners, The Hairy Bikers, Arcade Fire, UB40, Enter Shikari and Jason Manford have all performed at the venue.
A flexible space, the main auditorium can cater for up to 1,000 people seated, or 1,800 with a mixture of seating and standing, and the bars and ancillary spaces play host to smaller live performances, as well as the workshop and community programme of dance, drama and music.
Located in the heart of Scunthorpe, the venue hosts a multi-genre programme of the very best touring comedy, music and entertainment, as well as a hugely popular annual pantomime.
