ATTRACTIONS

The Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft

Visit the world's largest collection of preserved trolleybuses. Powered by mains electricity, like trams, but running on rubber tyres trolleybuses were once a common sight on Britain's roads. The Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft have nearly 60 examples in their collection, mostly from the UK but also a few examples from overseas, where there are still many systems. Many are restored and on open days visitors can ride on a selection. They also have a Toy Museum, Cycle Museum, exhibitions, a replica postwar prefab home and provide motorbus tours of the local area. And there's tea, cakes and snacks available in the Tea Trolley Cafe. The Museum is run entirely by volunteers.
