Built in 1798, Ellis Windmill is the last of nine working windmills that once stood on Lincoln's hill top, it is also the only working mill in the city. Ellis Mill is an excellent example of a small tower mill and although the Mill dates from 1798, there has been a mill on this site from at least the middle of the 17th century.
