Market Rasen offers a range of enclosures on its feature racing days to suit every pocket and to ensure visitors can enjoy their day. Visitors to the County Enclosure can enjoy fantastic views of the racecourse, with sloping lawns to the parade ring, not to mention a selection of great bars and restaurants. Tattersalls Enclosure, in the heart of the racecourse, includes the parade ring, winners’ enclosure, weighing room and pre-parade ring. The Lawn enclosure offers vast green areas to enjoy a picnic with friends and family. County Racedays offer a one enclosure policy, allowing everyone to access all open facilities in all three enclosures for a reduced price.

Live at Market Rasen!
Music Nights at Market Rasen have become legendary over the years. With acts such as Jess Glynne, The Kaiser Chiefs, Paloma Faith, Tom Grennan and Tom Jones having performed live in the centre of the course after racing, you can always guarantee a real buzz on these nights!
Informally known as Rasen Rocks, tickets include access to the full Raceday plus the concert after.

Alan Swinbank Mares Listed Bumper Raceday
The Alan Swinbank Mares Listed Bumper is the feature race on the January card. This race has quickly established itself as a structured pathway for the Grade 2 Mares Bumper at Aintree’s Grand National Meeting in the same season, having supplied two winners and a third in the last 3 years. In addition this year the Racecourse were thrilled to see two previous graduates lining up for the Grade 1 Cheltenham Mares Hurdle.
Summer Plate Ladies Day
Market Rasen’s only Premier Raceday, this is the highlight of the racing calendar. With the most valuable total prize money of the year offered on the card, this fixture is sure to produce an exciting racing spectacle. The feature race of the day is the only Premier Handicap Chase of the year, the Unibet Summer Plate, which is run over a distance of 2m5f
Bud Booth Mares Chase Raceday
The Bud Booth Mares Listed Chase is a key part of the annual Mares Chase race programme. Run over a distance 3 miles, this race sees a large prize fund on offer.
The Lincolnshire National – Boxing Day at the Races
The finale to the annual racing calendar, the Pallinc Lincolnshire National is the feature race to the Boxing Day card. Run over a distance of 3m3f, this long-distance race generally see equine fan favourites within the lineup. This really is the perfect way to round off from a fantastic year of racing.
Award-winning family days…
Families are well looked after at Market Rasen, with a number of Family Fun Days held during the calendar. Bouncy castles and other themed entertainment are available on selected days in the General Admission enclosure, all of which is free of charge to Racegoers. The picnic car park offer visitors an alternative view of the racing and allows families to bring a picnic to the Racecourse to enjoy at their own leisure. U18s go free to all Racedays with the exception of Music Nights.
Market Rasen is an accredited Racecourse under the Visit England Quality Assured Racecourse Scheme, and in 2024 we were rated “excellent” on the July Family Day. The acute attention to delivering a high customer experience saw us ranked in the top 15 Racecourses in the UK.
