Two Acts Two Courses is back at The Blue Room with Blackadder II by Ben Elton, Richard Curtis and the BBC.
The scheming Blackadder, his loyal (if slightly dim) servant Baldrick, the (possibly even dimmer) Lord Percy, Meltchett, Queenie, Nursie and a special guest who won’t stop doing dog noises, will be performing some of your favourite episodes from the second season of the hit BBC comedy.

act 1
Blackadder has just been appointed Lord High Executioner. What initially seems like a cushy number with a four day weekend, turns into a fight for survival when Blackadder finds his own head on the chopping block. Things only get more complicated when Blackadder’s puritanical relatives come to discuss his inheritance on the exact same evening the kingdom’s biggest light-weight has to host a boozy party, complete with comedy false breast. Simple...right?

Act 2:
Blackadder is broke and the church is calling in its debts. The baby eating bishop of Bath and Wells is a fair minded chap. If Blackadder doesn’t pay back what he owes, he can at least decide which end the red-hot poker goes in first. After all this excitement perhaps it’s time for Blackadder to settle down and finally marry that special someone. Enter Blackadder’s new “man”servant, Bob. Time for Baldrick to dust off his Bridesmaid’s dress. Woof Woof!
