Join local birder, Matt Vickers, for a relaxed birdwatching walk around Wilder Doddington and learn to identify birds through their appearance, song and calls.
Late autumn is an exciting time in the UK for feathered winter migrants with many waders, wildfowl, thrushes and finches flocking here from northerly climes. Matt will take you away from the public footpaths and into the heart of Wilder Doddington to seek out Doddington’s exciting winter visitors and see and hear which birds are present.
No experience required, just a keen ear and a pair of binoculars if you have them.

Important Information
This is a practical session and will involve walking on uneven terrain, walking 2-4 km.
The event will go ahead even in the case of wet weather but may be rescheduled if the weather is torrential.
All guests must be over 16yrs. 16-18 year olds must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
No dogs permitted – Much of our wildlife enjoys their entire life on the ground and dogs may disturb what we hope to see.
We regret the surfaces are incredibly uneven so we cannot cater for wheelchairs.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and ground conditions. Suitable sturdy footwear is a requirement for a comfortable visit. Bring waterproofs if wet or cold.
Please note that tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable unless the event is cancelled.
