The Pathfinder Rides at IBCC

More than a sportive - this is an adventure...on a bike from a starting point of your choice, ending at the International Bomber Command Centre in Lincolnshire for the Grand Arrival over one weekend in July.

The Pathfinder Rides is an event supporting and endorsed by The International Bomber Command Centre in Lincoln.

This is not a sportive because you can start from wherever you want and cycle for as long or as short a journey as you wish. This is an adventure, an unusual and exciting experience, an opportunity for recognition, remembrance and reconciliation by cyclists of all ages and abilities.

The Pathfinder Rides will take place in July 2022, culminating in a Grand Arrival at the International Bomber Command Centre in Lincoln over the weekend of 23rd and 24th July 2022, when the IBCC will open itself up to the Lincolnshire, UK and International Cycling Communities.

What are the Pathfinder Rides?
It's simple:

1 - For your start point, choose a location significant to Bomber Command
2 - Register online
3 - Get on your bike and blog your ride from your start point to the IBCC, ensuring that you arrive during the weekend of 23rd and 24th July 2022.

Where you start from and how long it takes you is YOUR decision, and this is the beauty of this event.

Your ticket includes:
- Every participant will receive a unique finishers medal to commemorate their achievement
- A professionally taken photo of you alongside the iconic Memorial Spire at the IBCC
- Access to the 10 acres of landscaped Peace Gardens at the IBCC
- A guided tour of the site by one of the Centre’s incredibly knowledgeable tour guides
- Access to a specially created secure storage compound for your bike
- Access to specialist cycle mechanics provided by GIANT of Doddington Hall, to ensure your final approach to the centre goes smoothly
- The chance to see an RAF flypast
