The park was named for Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, and is a Country Park spread across roughly 25 acres. It is the most northerly of three parks and it stretches from Harrowby Mill in the North to Belton Lane in the South, with just over half a mile of riverside walk to wander along. There are extensive woodland areas, picnic tables and benches, a small playground.

A linear route that predominantly follows the River Witham. The out and back route is approximately 1.6 miles (2.6km) in length. The path is either tarmac or compacted grit surface, greater than 1 metre wide, and mainly level. Towards the end of the route, the path splits into two around tree roots but is 1m wide both sides of the roots. There are also 2 short paths from the main route leading to Langford Gardens.
The car park has a barrier that limits height to below 1.9m. The car park has a surface of 4mm fine gravel overlaid onto a mesh base. There are some holes in the surface.
