Taking the Cathedral Quarter in Lincoln by storm to a time that never was - the largest steampunk festival in the world returns to Lincoln, with workshops, talks, tea-dunking competitions, market stalls and the Grand Promenade.
The Asylum Steampunk Festival is a convention-style event; a gathering of steampunk enthusiasts looking to share their hobby with other enthusiasts from around the world. Get your wristband to access the fun and activities at County Assembly Rooms, Westgate School and Lincoln Castle.
The Castle's Steampunk Zone includes the Heritage Skills Centre, marquees and the Victorian Men's Prison, where you will find an extensive programme of exhibitions, talks, displays, games, features and convention-only traders.
There is free access to the Steampunk Festival for spectators along the Bailgate area where there are market stalls nestled on Castle Hill, nestled between Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle. Plus! A chance to see the Grand Promenade - a parade through the Bailgate to marvel at everyone's delightfully splendid outfits.
