Step through the doors of Stokes High Bridge Café and you’re walking into history. Nestled on Lincoln’s historic High Bridge - the only medieval bridge in England still lined with buildings - the café has been part of the city since 1540 and Stokes have been serving coffee here for the best part of a century!

This is where the Stokes story began. Generations of guests have celebrated birthdays, afternoon teas, and quiet coffees here.

Stokes take their coffee seriously — freshly roasted uphill at their Lincoln roastery, from single-origin beans to expertly crafted blends. Tea lovers are equally spoiled, with over 30 loose-leaf teas, including the Stokes-original Flo’s Mix. Everything is available to take home too, so you can enjoy the Stokes experience in your pyjamas.
