Lost Village Festival
Witham St Hughs
Lost Village is an otherworldly experience, taking place in the Lincolnshire countryside.
A totally unique journey; festival-goers spend the weekend exploring an abandoned woodland village, venturing through winding pathways and uncovering all manner of surprises.
The forest of the Lost Village is totally transformed, with a huge focus of sophisticated creative decor, secret spaces, installations, set design and immersive performances.
The event also encompasses a globally influenced programme of music and food, including Michelin-starred chefs curating banquets and chef table experiences, unique pop-up restaurants (that you won’t see at any other festival), and highly curated international street food. The event is dynamic, diverse, and unique—and it has had a profound influence on the UK festival market, being seen as a truly boundary-pushing proposition.
Over the last ten years, Lost Village has become one of the pre-eminent boutique festivals, with ticketholders travelling from all over the globe to be part of the most culturally significant moment in the UK festival calendar.

Lost Village Festival 2025: The Most Spectacular Edition Yet
A winding path through an ancient Lincolnshire forest leads to something extraordinary. The trees part to reveal an abandoned village, where music echoes through the leaves and art brings forgotten spaces back to life. This is Lost Village Festival, and it's coming back from August 21-24, 2025, with its most spectacular edition yet.
This isn't your usual field-in-the-middle-of-nowhere festival - it's a mysterious woodland settlement that becomes your playground for four unforgettable days. Hidden among the trees near Norton Disney, it offers secret pathways, stages tucked away in old buildings, and moments of pure magic around every corner.
Why Lost Village Festival Is a Must-Visit Event
What makes Lost Village different? Maybe it's the fact that only 4,500 people get to experience it. Or perhaps it's the way they've turned everything - from abandoned aircraft to forgotten structures - into something amazing. It's no wonder they just grabbed the 'Best Festival' crown at DJ Mag's 2024 Best of British Awards.
But awards aside, what really matters is the adventure that awaits you this coming bank holiday weekend.
A Festival Setting Like No Other
The festival grounds are surreal. An old airplane sits mysteriously in the woods, now buzzing with incredible music. A rusty junkyard transforms into an open-air dance floor, while buildings reclaimed by nature glow with new life.
The magic of Lost Village lies in its contrasts. One minute, you're dancing to world-class DJs in a clearing surrounded by towering trees; the next, you're following a mysterious path that leads to a hidden stage you hadn't noticed before. Every space tells its own story, from The Forest stage where DJs play extended sets under a canopy of leaves, to secret venues that appear and disappear throughout the weekend.
No two journeys through Lost Village are ever the same. You might find yourself in a cozy nook watching the sunset through the trees, or joining an impromptu dance party in what looks like someone's long-forgotten living room. The festival's creators have turned every quirk and corner of this abandoned woodland into something that'll make you stop and say "wow."
The 2025 Lost Village Soundtrack
Yes, 2025 brings some serious heavy-hitters to the forest, with Caribou bringing their full live band setup that'll have you moving in ways you didn't know possible. Four Tet's going to dazzle with his experimental blends of jazz, hip-hop, folk, and dance. And if you haven't caught HAAi or SHERELLE yet, trust us - you're in for something special.
Remember Maribou State from Lost Village's very first edition back in 2015? They're coming home to the forest, and they're bringing all their new tunes with them. Barry Can't Swim is dropping in to play tracks from his new album 'When Will We Land?' – and between you and me, this forest setting is pretty much perfect for it. Plus, Joy Orbison's showing up fresh off the success of 'Flight FM', ready to turn the woodland into the best dance floor you've ever experienced.
But that's not all. The HE.SHE.THEY crew is taking over an entire stage, bringing their signature high-energy, anything-goes party vibe that makes everyone feel like family. And speaking of family, Daytimers are back after their mind-blowing 2021 show, ready to showcase the best in South Asian electronic music.
Oh, and keep your eyes peeled - Lost Village is famous for surprise sets in hidden spots. One minute you're exploring, the next you're watching Dixon or Honey Dijon perform in what feels like your own private show.
Eat Your Way Through Lost Village: Fine Dining, Street Eats & More
The dining experience at Lost Village breaks all festival food stereotypes. At the intimate 30-seat Table in the Woods, Michelin-starred chefs like Gareth Ward from Ynyshir and Rafael Cagali from Da Terra create culinary magic right before your eyes.
The Forest Banquets offer a more communal experience. Long tables set among the trees become the setting for fire-cooked feasts by Anglothai, Fallow, and Black Lock. There's something pretty special about eating amazing food while surrounded by towering trees and new friends.
And for those moments when you just want to grab something quick between dancing? You're sorted. Some of London's most talked-about spots have set up camp in the forest. Alley Cats Pizza is slinging their legendary slices, Kricket's bringing their incredible Indian-inspired flavors, and Pophams... well, if you know, you know (and if you don't, you're in for a treat). Plus, when the late-night munchies hit, Burger & Beyond has got your back with what might just be the best festival burger you've ever had.
More than just Music
Lost Village isn't the kind of festival where you only dance and eat (though you could totally do that). The Lost Theatre becomes a forest comedy club, hosting some of the UK's funniest people. Past years have seen Katherine Ryan, Joe Lycett, and Simon Amstell bringing the laughs - and 2025's lineup is set to be just as good.
Need a break from the beats? The Institute of Curious Minds is where things get really interesting. You might find yourself listening to The Prodigy's Leroy Thornhill sharing wild stories from the road, or RuPaul's Tayce spilling the tea on drag culture. Even filmmaker Irvine Welsh and fashion icon Pam Hogg are dropping by to share their thoughts on art, life, and everything in between.
Relax and Learn New Things
The Energy Garden by the lake offers pure relaxation. Wood-fired hot tubs and Finnish saunas sit perfectly among the trees, while massage sessions, yoga classes, tarot readings, and sound therapy provide different ways to reset and recharge.
The festival's creative workshops spark new passions. Learn clothes customisation, screen printing, or cocktail making. Try life drawing or wood crafting if you're feeling artsy. And don't forget to check out the vintage markets - you never know what treasures you might find.
Make It Happen: Your Guide to Lost Village 2025
Let's talk about making your forest adventure a reality. Tickets for Lost Village are on sale now. With only 4,500 spots available, this is one of those 'don’t think too long' moments.
Getting there is easier than you might think. Jump on one of the National Express shuttle buses from Newark Northgate station - it's just a 20-minute ride to the festival site. Coming by car? The festival team has sorted carbon offsetting for all car journeys, so you can focus on the fun stuff.
When it comes to sleeping, you've got options. Standard camping is included with your ticket, but if you fancy leveling up your experience, check out the boutique camping options.
Want to travel light? The festival's Click & Collect camping service lets you pick up your gear on-site and return it afterward - genius for reducing waste and making your journey hassle-free.
Lost Village’s Eco-Friendly Mission
Speaking of making things better for the planet, Lost Village goes all out on this front. They've already planted 14,000 trees across the globe (from Australia to Nepal) to offset over 2,500 tonnes of CO2. You won't find any single-use plastics here, and their comprehensive recycling program means your weekend of fun doesn't come at the earth's expense.
Accessibility
Need some extra support? The festival's got you covered with PA tickets, accessible camping and parking spots, hearing loops at stages, and a dedicated welfare team who are there to help everyone have the best time possible.
Your Forest Adventure Awaits
Lost Village isn't just another festival on the summer calendar - it's become a legend in its own right. From the Guardian calling it "a woodland world that takes you away from everyday life" to GQ declaring it "the festival experience of the summer," everyone who steps into these woods comes out with stories to tell.
Since 2015, when founders Moda Black (Jaymo and Andy George) first dreamed up this unique fusion of music, art, and storytelling, Lost Village has grown into something truly special. Yet it's kept its soul - staying small enough to feel intimate, but big enough to bring you world-class experiences around every corner.
