Jul 6
6th July 2024 - 7th July 2024

Step back in time at Thorpe Camp 1940s Weekend, set in the former Royal Air Force barracks for RAF Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire.

Living History Groups, historic military and civilian vehicles and live period entertainment are the main features of Thorpe Camp 1940s.

A visit to the onsite museum at Thorpe Camp will also tell you the story of RAF Woodhall Spa, Bomber Command, Arnhem, the Polish Air Force, the Home Front and the Cold War. You can also enjoy the thrilling experience in the Aviation Centre's unique Tornado F3 simulator.

Don't forget to look up through the weekend! The festival hopes to see Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) Flypasts on both days! (Subject to the usual weather/technical conditions.)

A fully licensed bar and refreshments will be served throughout the 1940s Weekend in Lincolnshire's Aviation Visitor Centre at Tattershall Thorpe. Bring your entire family (furry, four-legged friends are also welcome) and enjoy a spectacular weekend commemorating and remembering the 1940s.
