Spring Birdwatch at Doddington Hall

Mar 23
23rd March 2025

Springtime on Doddington Estate is an exciting time as our feathered migratory birds return to nest and fill the countryside with their song.

Join local birder, Matt Vickers, for a relaxed birdwatching walk around Wilder Doddington and learn to identify birds through their appearance, song and calls. Matt will take you away from the public footpaths and into the heart of Wilder Doddington to seek out our exciting spring visitors and see and hear which birds are present.

Your Guide: Matt Vicker’s has been interested in birds and wildlife since he was a child. For the last 25 years he has been involved as a volunteer surveyor for the RSPB, BTO, National Trust and more recently, Wilder Doddington. Matt is particularly interested in bird song and bird calls as these add an extra dimension to bird identification – you don’t actually have to see the bird!

No experience is required, just a keen ear and a pair of binoculars if you have them.
