Hidden Food Tours is a boutique walking food and history tour. We take small groups of guests on a guided stroll around Lincoln, visiting historic locations and the hottest foodie destinations, on the way sampling some of the finest food and drink the city and surrounding area has to offer. During the three hour walking tour we introduce our guests to the producers while telling the stories behind some of the county’s iconic foodstuffs. We share the story of Lincoln, from Roman settlement to the present day, and learn how its history is intertwined with the food the city is famous for.
Known for its traditional offerings of Lincolnshire sausages and award winning local cheeses, Lincoln has more recently become a food destination. From its famous farmers market to the award winning Cheese Society, from the restaurant scene to its bustling street food market, Lincoln is rapidly becoming a foodie destination for weekend visitors.
The tour visits six different venues and offers a unique opportunity to taste delicious local produce and hear fascinating stories about how these foods have been produced, developed and enjoyed in the local area from Roman times to the present day.
