Cherry Fields is a vibrant natural space with woodland, wildflower meadows, an orchard, ponds, and river access. Visitors enjoy a cycle track, picnic areas, play zones, and a dog exercise area. The Parish Council has planted 10,000+ native trees and shrubs, hundreds of woodland plants, and created four ponds and a wet scrape with native vegetation, boosting biodiversity and ecological value.

The car park has a height barrier that limits vehicle heights to below 1.83 metres (6 foot). Larger vehicles can park outside the park in the lay-by This is an out and back linear route from the car park to the bank of the River Witham. It is approximately 1.5km (0.93 miles) return trip along relatively level all weather surfaced paths. The paths are well compacted with some very fine grit in places occasionally. The Delph is crossed by a wooden footbridge and this leads to steps and a ramp to allow access to the top of the river bank, where there are benches.
