We’re excited to be welcoming the Lloyds Tour of Britain Men 2026 to Lincolnshire this 2nd and 3rd of September – a fantastic opportunity to experience the county at its very best.

As one of the UK’s biggest sporting events, it will bring an electric atmosphere, with thousands of spectators and cycling fans gathering to enjoy the action and explore all that Lincolnshire has to offer.

Whether you’re planning a day out or a longer stay, there will be plenty to see and do. From cheering on the riders along the route to discovering our vibrant towns, beautiful countryside and visitor attractions, it’s the perfect time to soak up the energy and make lasting memories.

Lincoln isn’t just somewhere to watch the race - it’s an experience in its own right. Arrive early, explore the Bailgate, enjoy the entertainment, and stay to soak up the atmosphere as the excitement unfolds

Discover Lincoln’s Cathedral Quarter - The race start and finish are perfectly positioned in one of Lincoln’s most iconic locations. While you’re here, explore:

As the excitement of the Tour of Britain sweeps through Lincoln, take a moment to explore beyond the race route and uncover one of the city’s most memorable journeys—down the iconic Steep Hill. Winding its way from the historic heights of the Cathedral Quarter to the vibrant High Street below, this charming cobbled street invites you to discover much more of the city.

  • Brayford Waterfront - Enjoy a great selection of food, drink, events and entertainment

Water Rail Way

For cycling with the family you might want to go off-road. Water Rail Way was built on an old railway line between Lincoln and Boston and for most of the journey the River Witham runs by your side. Spa Trail is also on a former railway line and connects Woodhall Spa and Horncastle and it goes through woods, more open countryside and sometimes with the Horncastle Canal as your companion. Both paths feature artworks along the way providing some extra landmarks to discover.

Take time to uncover the charm and heritage of Boston at the start of Stage Two for a fascinating day out. Steeped in history, this vibrant market town invites you to explore the magnificent St Botolph’s Church—fondly known as “The Stump”—and wander through its bustling town centre filled with independent shops and cafes.

With its historic buildings and dramatic coastline, this east Lincolnshire market town has plenty of things to do and is ideally located just a short drive from Skegness and equidistant from Lincolnshire's Southern CountrysideLincolnshire Wolds and Lincoln. There are many fine historic buildings including Maud Foster, the tallest working windmill in Britain and the last of the town’s 15 windmills.

  • Boston Belle - Enjoy a scenic cruise aboard Boston’s iconic riverboat, offering unique views of the waterways and surrounding landscape.

  • Boston Guildhall – One of England’s finest medieval guildhalls, showcasing centuries of history, heritage and local stories.

  • St. Botolph's Church – Known as the “Boston Stump”, this magnificent landmark church dominates the skyline and is one of the largest parish churches in England.

While the Tour of Britain brings an electric atmosphere to the region, why not make the most of it by spending a day in Skegness where Stage Two finishes —Lincolnshire’s classic seaside escape. From sandy beaches to traditional amusements and lively arcades along the promenade, there’s something for visitors of all ages to enjoy. Take a stroll along the pier, indulge in fresh fish and chips, or unwind with a coffee overlooking the sea before exploring the town’s shops and family-friendly attractions.
